OK.
This folder on my sd card called lazy list takes up 70 MB on my 2 GB sd card.
That's a lot of space its taking up. And for a ROM developer 2 GB is not enough.
Well after doing some research and playing around with the files, i figured it out.
Most apps are lazy to go and load everything from the very beginning, especially launchers, they don't feel like going in and figuring out whats on screen 2 or screen 100...1000, so they save it as cache and that cache is stored in the sd card, if their is one. most apps do this to improve performance and decrease load time because they are "Lazy" and that is why its called a "Lazy" List.
Hope this helps to all those people online who are trying to figure out his problem.
To find out which apps do save in this folder, you can just go to your apps in your settings, and click on a random app and it should say cache.........150kb or something like that, that means it has saved cache on the lazy list folder.
Not all apps save cache there. They can save it in a seperate folder called somthing different and having unknown files.
PS:
Man i could use that 70 mega bites though.

ReplyDeleteOk thnx for that info. But the whole question wasn't answered are we able to delete the LAZYLIST then??
DeleteTHANK-YOU 😍😍
What would happen if i delete this folder?
ReplyDeleteyour phone would probably function really slowly and lag alot, that is the best situation, worst would be your phone will not function properly, but i know the files eventually return no matter what.
DeleteSo basically these are the pests you cant get rid of.. We'll thanks for info..
ReplyDeletewell, you can get rid of them all, and they will come back after you use the phone for a while, but lets just say you deleted an app, the cache is still there, you just don't know which one it is, so you can clear it once in a while. i did it a while back, and then it came back just a different size. so logically it a trash bin, which needs to be clean out once in a while.
DeleteYou could always get an additional SD card and move the folder there. That's what I did :)

Thank you I just noticed it today and theres like 20 files all from the same day on mine. I was worried about it, I guess they better start making 100gb sd card soon since all the developers are getting lazy out there!
ReplyDeleteHow can I open up the file and see what it is?
ReplyDeleteHow can I open up the file and see what it is?
ReplyDeleteDear friends concerned about the "Lazylist" anger of memory.
ReplyDeleteI have thought about a little solution that get rid of the Lazylist folder once and for all!
It is a very simple trick I have tested... and it works!
You need, after deleting the folder, to create a FILE that has the SAME name. Since the File system does not allow the existance of a folder having the name of an already existing file, the folder will never be created anymore!
So, if you want to get rid of Lazylist, now you know it!
Hope to have been helpful.
Cheers to everyone!
Are you Giuseppe?
DeleteHe posted exact same info on android thread on the same day as you.
These comments are filled with the same comments from that forum. ;)
I tried to open the lazy list folder but got unable to find application to perform this action. I show four items, one has numbers the other three have numbers ( but show a - sign in front of them. )
ReplyDeleteAny help and/advise on this?
Thanks
It is perfectly safe to delete lazyList. And yes it is a cache memory used to avoid recreating bitmaps everytime they are used

Download " mobile care free" It is a wonder program ( no I am not getting anything to promote it) It has a cleaner for that cache and much more.Rated excellent.Kit kat.
ReplyDeleteIf you delete it , does that affect your apps ?
ReplyDeletenope, doesn't do anything
DeleteI noticed the "LAZYLIST" aFTER I downloaded Es File Explorer. After searching the files for DAY'S come to find out Es Explorer generated the folder. I uninstalled the app because it kept disabling my java and I dont understand how because me phone isn't rooted. As long as none of the files have data attached and its just caches they can be deleted. If the lazylist folder says data but all the files say cache you can delete the files and leave the folder . just watch the folder for new files to see where they come from. Please make no rude comments I know my grammar and punctuation isn't up to par thank you
ReplyDeleteLazyList on my phone keeps pictures from Weatherbug. I used ASTRO to open the files as a "Picture" using the stock "Gallery" app.
ReplyDeleteHope this helps!
