HTC Releases HTC M4

Take a look at the picture...its an HTC One....no its not, its smaller less powerful version.

Archos for europe

IF you live in Europe  you probably know Archos, a small cellphone manufacturer. And like most small companies, like zte, and xiomi and miezu that no on knows about in the usa, they want to become smart.

Archos will be releasing its first android smartphone soon and here are some specs.

3.5 inch screen with a 320x480 resolution. a 1ghz processor and a 5 mp camera. It will be running android 4.0.

News: LG, Samsung and Alcatel

LG is now making a 5.5 inch Optimus G Pro. That is freaking huge, why, phones are big as it is and getting even bigger is pointless because a tablet is 6.5 inches +. One more inch and smartphones will not longer be phones. its not that i dont like big screens but i only like 4-4.25 inch screens. I dont like really big screens. The LG will start first start selling in japan in mid april.

Samsung has announced that it will be keeping the physical home button on its samsung galaxy s4.

TCL has just unveiled its latest smartphone. The Alcatel One Touch Star is a mid-range handset with a stylish design and extremely attractive price tag that we are hoping to see showcased at the MWC in two weeks.

The One Touch Star sports a 4" display, 1GHz dual-core processor along with 512 MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a front-facing VGA camera, 4 GB of internal memory with microSD support and a 1,500 mAh battery.

Surprisingly, the device will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which is still pretty rare to be found in the mid-range.

Alcatel One Touch Star will retail for around 2,000 SEK (about $315) in Sweden and is expected to be available in European markets very soon.

New HTC One photo leaked

An official press photo of the HTC One has leaked showcasing the phone's front panel. The source is evleaks and judging from its history of leaks, then we have every reason to believe this is the real deal.

Rather surprisingly, the HTC One get rid of the traditional three-button combo and features just back and home buttons below its display. As usual, both buttons are of the capacitive touch variety. Another interesting bit are the dual-speakers placed either side of the screen.

However, the key selling point of the smartphone remains its 4.7-inch 1080p display with a pixel density of 468ppi. Judging from the press photo the One is going to run the latest version of Sense UI (5.0), which falls in line with previous reports. Those earlier reports also suggested the HTC One is running Android 4.2 on a Qualcomm APQ8064 chipset with four 1.7GHz Krait cores and 2GB of RAM.

Yesterday, the first photo snapped using the smartphone's 13MP camera showed up on Flickr. It's yet another interesting aspect of the device, considering its using a stacked sensor with what the company calls "ultrapixels".

HTC will hold simultaneous press events in New York and London on February 19, where the company's CEO Peter Chou is expected to officially unveil the One flagship. We'll be covering the announcement live, so stay tuned!

Tune cars drag racing game android: tips and tricks

I have already posted on how tuning works on the drag racing game for android. But i have learned some new tips that you might want to know.

1. for Rear wheel drive cars with lost of horsepower, you might need to lower down the final drive to reduce the burnout. but for 4 wheel drive cars you should increase the final drive to get a bit of a slip on the wheels so that you could get max grip with max power. that is key, gear ratios are really good the way they are until you are like trying to get an extra .0001 seconds faster.

2. IF you adjust your gear ratios, make sure your car accelerates smoothly and constantly  not just at high rpm's. this means that  your car will keeps its speed until hitting 7k rpm and then accelerate, and then you shift and it sits again. If you have this problem increase the gap between the gear rations that you are having this problem with.

News: Samsung Galaxy S series and more

Today is a big day in history. The Samsung galaxy s series shipments surpass 100 MILLION phones. This is big, because this is a big hit to apple. And since we are on the topic of Samsung  Samsung is launching the new (not really) galaxy s 2 plus phone which is i think really stupid.

LG Has released the Optimus L9, and Huawei is selling there new Ascend and Mate phones but not in the USA, crap that is WHERE I LIVE! I WANT IT.

About the L9, if anyone looked at it, it looks like a freaking samsung s3, which looks like an iPhone, so i do not support it. I also do not like the new UI trend that lg is taking, also copied from samsung which looks like the iPhone so...

The New Sony Xperia Z and ZL

Android phone wars will continue shortly, but bear with me as i get more data in to my charts so i could analyze the phones and post a non-biased review.

Meanwhile sony is back with the new Xperia Z and ZL. GSM arena has a great hands on video that i posted onto my tv stream too and i encourage you to go check it out.

For some reason the trend for new smartphones is in 5 inch full HD screens, so that is the direction Sony followed the crowed. IT IS a 5 inch 1080p screen. It is complemented with a Sony 13 Mega Pixel camera. Sony is known for its TX 10 and TX 100 cameras that own 16.2 mp carl zeis lenses.

Now about the thing managing that massive display. "Sony continues its partnership with Qualcomm and has picked the Snapdragon S4 Pro, which packs four Krait cores at 1.5GHz, along with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 320 (it will hardly be idle considering everything needs to be rendered at 1080p resolution)." But what is the difference between the Z and ZL, well the ZL is a bit thicker and shorter so the screens are the same but the size is a bit different.

The phone will be launched with android 4.1.2 jelly bean, WHY NOT SWITCH TO 4.2 ALREADY.

Android Phone Wars...Not Yet

There haven't been any new major phones made out there over my Christmas break. I will probably be making a list of low top 10 low end phones because i know pantech has made a new great phone and lots more. Just be patient because Im at school and working on getting into college and other things. I am kind of tight with cash so idk if i will go to college. Any way i hope you enjoy the blog and thanks for all the faithful viewers here.

How to tune cars in Drag Racing Game-Android

Ok, so how do you tune your car in the drag racing game on and android. well here are the steps.

1. DO NOT TOUCH THE NOS, you do not need to modify it at all, most people do so thinking it helps but really it doesn't.

2. Final drive. The final drive determinse how much power goes to the wheels. The lower the number the less power, the higher the number, the more power, if you have a RWD car like a ferrari novitec rosso, then you want the number to be lower and then you will not burn out, but if  you have a 4WD car that does not burn out, add a bit more power and when you see a little bit of tire smoke, you are good to go. The thing is tire smoke is an indicator here, if you have lots of tire smoke, you are adding to much power, if you dont have tire smoke, that might mean you dont have enough power, so you want a small quick burn out and then none at all during first gear.

3. Gears. The number on the gears indicates how much power is used in each gear. So if your first gear is 4.375, that means it is going to use 4.375 out of 4.375 power on that gear, and the second gear would be for example 3.5, that means it will use 3.5 out of 4.375. You might ask why on earth then does the game not let second gear be more power than first. Well if you know how transmission works and its purpose you would understand. The point of gears is to use less power to accelerate with each gear. so that is why there is less power each gear. Now you might have noticed the stock tune grows exponentially from bottom to top, that is how it should be, it should be a very big arc to the right or it should be more of a straight line. you don't want any jagged parts.

That is all there is too it, there is no perfect tune because each car is different, even if they have the same upgrades, because each person drives differently and you cant use the same tune for 1/4 and 1/2 mile races.

Tips:
 If you are tuning for quarter mile and you don't pass second or third gear, that is not good, for quarter mile tuning you want to get through as many gears as possible.

Meizu MX2 goes official - quad- core, HD screen and Jelly Bean

The Meizu MX2 has become official today, just as previously expected. The device comes with a new MX5S chipset with four 32nm Cortex-A9 CPU cores, 2 GB worth of RAM, a 4.4" screen of WXGA resolution (1280 x 800 pixels) with the impressive ~347 ppi density. There's also a faster GPU and Flyme 2.0 on top of Android Jelly Bean on board.

The Meizu MX2 will hit the shelves in China in the middle of December in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB versions. They will cost $400, $480 or $640 respectively or ¥2,499/¥2,999/¥3,999. It remains unclear if the MX2 will launch globally and when.

The Meizu MX2 has borrowed many design cues from its predecessor's, but instead of a physical home button there is a capacitive one this time. The display on the Meizu MX2 has really thin bezels around it (3.15 mm), giving the smartphone an even more impressive look.

The camera on the back is still an 8 MP one - it's has a backside illuminated sensor abd an F/2.4 lens. The MX2 can do 9 frames per second in drive mode and comes with the Wide Dynamic Range mode we know from previous MXes and four-direction Panorama, among others.

The Meizu MX2 is powered by Jelly Bean, topped with Meizu's Flyme 2.0 UI. Aside from the backup to the cloud option Flyme offers, the smartphone will also offer video and lossless music cloud streaming, but we'll need to wait and see how good that actually is.

My personal opinion, This thing looks FREAKING AWSOME, although it does steel a design off of the iPhone, and stands a good chance to be sued....um...big mistake to go up against apple, but the hardware and UI is really, really awsome.

ZTE is coming back and LG is getting better

Ok, ZTE is a small android smartphone manufacturer, i personaly have a ZTE and its ok but not such a high quality build and most of the ZTE phones are low end 600 800 megahertz phones. But now ZTE wants to show what it is made of.

Rumored for a next year release comes the ZTE Apache. It will reportedly run on an 8 (that's right, eight) core processor made by MediaTek. It will be made using the TSMC 28 nm process with Cortex-A15 CPU inside.

The ZTE Apache is expected to arrive by May next year and sport a 13 MP camera, 1080p display, 3G and 4G LTE. There's nothing else we know about the smartphone at this stage, but ZTE already has our attention.

The first dual-core smartphone come to the market in early 2011 and the first quad-cores were unveiled at the MWC in February this year. This means that seeing eight-cores in 2013 is possible.

All I have to say is...WHAT THE FLIP!!!

Now LG is now becomeing like HTC, pump out phones as fast as possible (afap).

LG is going to release a successor to the Optimus G successor – that rumor is hardly going to raise any eyebrows. However we also got to learn the some of the purported specs of the device and that's where things get exciting.

The LG Optimus G2 (or perhaps G II) is reportedly going to pack a quad-core 2.0 or 2.5 GHz Krait processor, an Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM (at least). This sounds a lot like the Qualcomm's MSM8974 chipset, which is a part of the chip maker's upcoming Prime lineup.

At the front there's going to be a newly developed LG display, which will have 1080p resolution. We already heard that LG is working on a 1080p screen for smartphones and it's only logical that the Optimus G successor will be the first to employ it.

As for the camera, 13MP or more will be present for sure, since the current generation Optimus G is already offering 13MP snapper on its back.

Finally, the rumor has it that the Android version powering the next LG flagship will be 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

The Optimus G2 will hit the market next year and while LG is (supposedly) aiming at a Q3 release, which makes sense, given that the Qualcomm chipset is only going to become available in Q2 of next year.

Apple Patents Are Retarded

In a move for which no level of facepalm can suffice, the USPTO granted Apple a patent for a rectangle with rounded corners last week. Regardless of how ridiculous it may sound, sadly it’s true. According to patent no. D670,286, design rights for a “portable display device” with an external shape that is a rectangle with rounded corners are now owned by Apple.

Note that only the solid line is part of the patented design; the dotted lines serve as mere reference, or more likely influence, to make it look more like a patentable product, but who exactly are they fooling here? The USPTO, apparently.

What makes it even more inexplicable is the fact that design patents are almost always quite specific, to the extent that anyone else would really need to replicate that particular design in order to infringe upon it. In this case however, nothing else but the rounded cornered rectangular shape is patented—no buttons, no back shape, no screen shape, not even the radius of the rounded corner. This in itself raises questions about the practical validity of this patent, and whether those in charge of putting a stamp on this patent application were under the influence or in the reality distortion field.

As most of you may know, this isn’t the first time Apple has resorted to something like this. The company has had a history of getting overly broad and non-essential patents, trying tolicense them to its competitors, and taking to court those who fail to comply. Such broad patents awarded to Apple in the past were at times deemed as invalid by the USPTO after further investigations but the damage was done by that time, in form of import bans on competitors for the products initially declared as infringing. In the end, it’s the consumers who suffer from all of this.

So what should be the course of action from here? As discussed recently by egzthunder1 inThe Weekly Apple Fail Update, both the USPTO and the US justice system should take cues from the UK, extract their heads from their rears, and take a closer look at what is being examined before awarding a patent or a ruling. Untill that happens, let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that Apple doesn’t start taking all tablet and smartphone manufacturers to court for infringing upon this one.

HTC Droid DNA Best Android Ever Made

I recently found out this from gsm arena, and realy its the best android made, ever!

HTC is having a hard time competing at the highest level of the smartphone market lately, but its latest smartphone might be what was needed to turn the tables. The all-caps name of the HTC DROID DNA is, for once, well deserved as this is certainly one of the most exciting smartphones we have seen lately.

On paper the DROID DNA is the strongest candidate for the smartphone of the season title.

The defining feature of the DROID DNA is the 1080p resolution of the display - that's over double the pixels of an HD screen. This pushes the pixel density to the insane 440ppi, leaving the 326ppi Retina display in the dust.

The 5" screen of the HTC DROID DNA uses Super LCD 3 tech - the One X used the previous generation of this tech, so we expect nothing but the best. We'll be taking a closer look at it soon enough as we're at HTC and Verizon's New York event.

The rest of the phone is nothing to frown at either - it's powered by the same Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset as the Google Nexus 4, which has four Krait cores, 2GB RAM and Adreno 320 on board. It has wireless charging too.

Two crucial differences between the DNA and the Nexus (aside from the screen, of course) are the LTE connectivity, supported by the Verizon 4G network.

HTC didn't stop there - they added some of their signature features to the phone. Sure, the latest Sense UI is present, on top of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but there's also the 8MP camera with F/2.0 aperture and ImageChip (which handles the advanced camera features) and Beats Audio with their 2.55v amplifier.

The only worry is that all of this is running off a 2,020mAh battery, which is smaller than what the HTC One X+ got.

There will be a lot to test when the HTC DROID DNA gets in our lab, but we'll start with an on-site hands-on. Stay tuned - the live photos garnished with our first impressions should appear on the following pages shortly.

LG and the Nexus 4 fail to meet expectations!

About a week and a half ago i posted that the LG Nexus 4 is the best phone their is, but to be the nexus means to be the best. Well LG has completely disapointed me and many others.

Several pictures of the LG-built Google Nexus 4 have been showing up across the Internet. The featured image in this article really caught my eye because it shows the internals of the device relatively well. While this device has not yet been released, a lot can be said (and judged) about a device’s hardware, even without full board shots. Overall, it appears to show that LG’s build quality is considerably lower than that of the Samsung Nexus devices in the past. In this article, I intend to write about the design pros and cons of the highly anticipated Nexus 4.

Design Pluses

Large external speaker - One of the biggest complaints with Samsung’s designs is the low powered/small sized speaker. While it delivers a trade-off in battery life versus sound quality/quantity,  the Nexus 4′s larger speaker should suffice to produce adequate sound.

Good speaker placement - The speaker placement on the Nexus 4 places the speaker at the corner of the device rather than the center, where your palm blocks it in portrait mode. While the Galaxy Nexus forces you to hold the device in an odd position to bounce sound from your palm to your ear while in portrait mode, the Nexus 4 will not have this problem. The corner orientation places the speaker in a optimal position for both landscape and horizontal palm redirection while watching movies.   This same orientation can be seen on the Meizu MX.

Design Minuses

Bolted in battery - The defining line between “Operator Replaceable” and “Qualified Service Technician” is the use of tools. The Nexus 4 not only requires a screw driver, but the plastic tabs on the edges will break if removed improperly. Once those tabs are broken, signal quality will be lost from the connection with the Spring Antenna Connections.

Spring Antenna Connections - The problem with Spring Antenna Connections or simply Spring Connections in general is: When tension is lost, signal is lost. Loss of tension between the back plate and the board can occur when a tab breaks or the back plate is warped. Warping of back plates can occur easily, and is quite frequent as devices age from stress, dropping, impact, or even a day in a hot car. You may notice some old devices such as remote controls or phones will squeak and creek when you press on them. This noise is generally attributed to warping or breakage of tabs, which would be critical for the WiFi/NFC/data/GPS/Bluetooth connections on the Nexus 4.

Lack of impact zones - Many current devices including Samsung’s entire lineup include impact areas around the bolts and the edge of the device.  This allows the device to sustain impact without altering the physical structure of the board, causing components to come lose.  The absence of impact areas causes a device to be more fragile and less resistant to impacts.  This also increases a device’s warpage risk, which can alter device dimensions and cause the Spring Connections to fail.

Tape used instead of structure and shielding - A well designed device will use its own structure to hold components in place. Tape is a disposable part. Disposable parts have no place inside of a properly designed device. The disadvantage here is tape can take components off the board when removed. Tape is also messy, and leaves residue on a board and other components. There is never a situation when using tape instead of physical structure is required, and the use of tape is often a harbinger for other build quality problems.

Recommendations for next revision

Make the speaker grill bigger - A speaker grill is designed to keep the operator’s fingers out, not to keep water out.  The small size of the speaker grill on the Nexus 4 will impede speaker sound and motion, and thus the overall dB level. This physical obsturction means the speaker wastes power on compression of air rather than audible sound creation.

Replace the battery tape - Instead of using tape for the battery, a slight overhang at the bottom of the metalized battery section will suffice to keep the battery from moving around inside the device.  Another way is to place glue or double-sided tape on the bottom of the battery.

Replace the communications tape - Instead of metalized tape on the communications section of the board, use a physical shield cap, which makes it serviceable and more tidy.

Use impact zones - Impact zones prolong device life.

Use a physical connector and a film substrate for the back cover - The back cover of the device consists of several separate connections spread across the entire device.  This means warpage anywhere in that area can cause the device to lose connectivity.   The primary focus of a mobile device is connectivity, and that should not be trusted to spring connections. The spring connections should be replaced with a physical connector of some sort. A physical connector would also save space.

Do not bolt down batteries - Batteries should be easily removable in the event of a problem.  Getting the rear cover off is enough work.  The compression method has been trusted across the spring connectors on the board, which are held in place solely by pressure. A proper connector holds itself in place. A slight bit of foam-rubber would do the same job as a spring, save space, save tools and remove the need for “tools” when replacing the battery.

Do not put the IMEI on the back cover – There will surely be aftermarket accessories for the device or people who want to replace the back cover, or add an extended battery.  The IMEI should be on the board, or at least bolted to the device.

At first glance, the Nexus 4′s hardware appears to be a quality downgrade from the Galaxy nexus which we reviewed previously.  After release we hope to be able to give a much better analysis.

Quick Root, CWM recovery, and flashing guide.

This is a shortened version of all the stupid rooting and flashing guides. Don't worry, if you back up everything you need, then no problems will ever occur, this is the easiest and safest process ever in the world.
do all this on full battery

1. ROOTING
-download z4root app to your phone, hit root, if that does not work, don't worry, download super one click, from shortfuse webiste. turn on usb debugging and then plug it to your pc, hit root once the program is up.

2. Recovery
download rom manager from app store, once it is open, click flash recovery, pick your phone, and wait. to test it, turn off your phone, hold home, volume up, and power at the same time, as soon as you see the unsusual boot image, let go. volume buttons are up and down, back is back, and menu is ok.

3. download rom from internet, and or kernel if needed.
go onto recovery, (power down etc.) navigate to backup and restore, click backup, and then wait. then go to wipe data, click yes, wipe cache too. Go to advanced, click wipe dalvik cache, and wipe battery stats.

4. go to install zip from sd, go to choose zip from sd, then find your rom, flash it, wait, reboot, wait at least 5 minutes, if the phone is not booting properly, then go to recovery, click backup and restore, hit restore, and wait. if the rom is ok, and you need to flash gapps or kernel, go into recovery and flash gapps, reboot, then kernel.

if anything every goes wrong, just restore your backup. need to back up apps? then get android assistant, go to tools, and backup your apps.

note : rebot after each flash (installation of rom and kernel).

LG has finally made something good!

I recently discovered that the LG Optimus G has been released. Its a heck of a phone really,
specs. The phone will be used as the base for the next google nexus. It is almost perfect, great everything.

When did they come up with this. first its lg optimus one, then optimus black, then the new, best phone in the world. AWSOME. The problem is, it is CDMA which means sprint! sprint gets the best phone ever yet.

It has a 1.5 gHz quad core processor, a 4.7 inch HD display, 10+ hours of talk time because of the 2,100 mAh battery which provides 13.5 days of standby time. It will be running android 4.0 ice cream sandwich. It will come with the new Google Chrome for mobile devices. It is 4G LTE capable. It also has a 13 Mega Pixel camera.

HTC ONE X+ is out!

So the new HTC one x +.
It has .2 GHz faster processor, so HTC is on top with 1.7 GHz quad core.
Its now black and gorgeous. It has a lot of other minor hardware tweaks. The camera has had major improvements and now double the storage and 50 percent more battery life. Sin e it comes with Android jellybean, it has sense 4+ ui instead of just sense 4. It now looks and feels more like stock jellybean.

Huh, I don't think the iPhone can beat that...ever...ever. that's good they can't, the faster they leave the world the better.
Go android and go HTC.

Android "Phone Wars" Episode 4, (iphone5 included)

OK, i have not posted any phone wars lately, and I decided....to see if the iPhone 5 will get back on top of the game....or not?!

Tum, tum, tum!The

Anyway, today we have the iPhone 5, our current winner; Samsung Galaxy SIII, and The HTC Evo 4G.

Lets start with the iPhone.
Battery: Li-ON, but no info on how many mAh, but it does have 8 hours of talk time and 9.4 DAYS of standby time. Dang
It now has a total of 6 rows of icons, with the stretched up screen.
It has a 1.5 Ghz A6 processor which is assumed to be quad core.
It has the retina display, which is nothing new to the smartphone world, and the screen is made out of Gorilla glass. nice
It only has 3 sensors, accelerometer, proximity and ambient light sensor.
So not THAT big of a change.

Now, lets leave the best for last, and talk about the HTC
The HTC is basically the basis for the iphone 5, it has just about the same specs other than you can have an sd card and get extra space. But the only problem is it has a basic tft captive screen.

And the samsung galaxy s 3
the only difference between the s3 and the iphone is the sensor and screen size.
