Google Pixel 6 Requirements to Succeed

Let's get a few things out of the way, if you paid 700$ for a Pixel 5, you got ripped off. That's it.

So lets see what the Pixel 6 needs to have to even have me bother to take a look.

1. Snapdragon 875. This is a must. Flagship chip with built in 5G. 8GB of ram (since they already did do it on the Pixel 5, might as well do 8GB). 128GB of storage with an optional 256 and 512GB options.

2. OLED High refresh rate screen. I don't care if it's 90hz or 120hz, it has to have a high refresh rate screen.

3. 4000mah Battery, is a must. They can't go back now that they have increased their battery sizes. There will be no excuses.

4. New camera hardware. The Pixel 5 is using the same IMX363 that google used in the pixel 2, 3 and 4. Heck, there is an easy replacement with the IMX577. Its also 12.3mp, but its a larger sensor and supports 4k 60fps. It's a huge sensor that so far, no one has implemented, and its been around for a while. This would be the perfect replacement. Also, a telephoto and an ultrawide is required. You can't just give us one camera one year, and swap it out for something else. Just give us all 3 and be done with it.

5. Faster charging. Google is still stuck on the USB type C power deliver 1.0 standard. USB PD 2.0 allows up to 20 volts at 6amps of current, allowing up to a crazy 100 watts of power. I can't believe google is still using 18 watt charging when OnePlus and other companies are pushing 30 or more watts of power.

6. Bring back the speakers. Seriously WHAT THE HELL. First google was all about the speakers, now its just throwing all of that away?

7. Squeeze for assistant must come back. Its BS that google took it away in the first place.

8. Face unlock. In a world where you can get both fingerprint and facial recognition, google should just do both. They forced the whole industry to support the Pixel 4 with soli, so there is zero reason to go back on it now.

9. Better haptics. The pixel 4 came out with the first truly good haptics on android. Google really rubbed it into everyone's faces how they tried to improve the feel of the vibrations, and then with the pixel 5 they scrapped it. WTF google. Premium my freaking ass.

We can also talk about the Pixel 5A. What would the Pixel 5A need to do at 350$ to succeed? Well, improve on what the Pixel 4A did. Better chipset like the Snapdragon 750G. 6GB of ram. A solid camera (using the same sensor as the flagship model, otherwise its pointless). Good battery, and a slightly better screen. At this point, 90hz screens are cheap that budget phones all across the board have them, so there is no excuse for google to not offer a good experience on a budget.

Google Pixel 5 Is A Rip Off

The Pixel 5 is a rip off. There is literally no other way for me to put it. Let me explain why this phone (and the 4A 5G as a result) is a rip off and is not worth 700$ USD. Yes I have heard that in some regions the phone is 599$ and that is more palpable, but still, not worth it considering the actual cost of manufacturing.

Let's first start with the predecessor, the Pixel 4. I purchased a Pixel 4. I still use it. Its a nice device. With some tweaks the battery life is more than bearable for me. But this had all the flagship phone check boxes and came in at a nice 799$ price tag. This wasn't terrible considering it was every box checked except the battery. Now, remove 100$ and we step down in CPU, GPU, RAM speed, Storage speed, Build quality, we loose radar/soli and face unlock, squeeze function, front facing speaker, and the Neural core.

So you are telling me, that removing cutting edge radar tech, and stepping down to 2017 level's of performance is "only" 100$? Wow.

Also. The Pixel 4a 5G is a pixel 5, minus the water proofing, 90hz display, and "fake" metal body. And apparently that costs 200$.

I am sorry but this makes no sense. These price differences don't make any sense at all considering devices like the Galaxy s20 FE has top end specs, checks all the boxes, has BETTER EVERYTHING for the same price as the pixel 5.

I get it. Its about the software, you get updates, etc. But really, 99.9% of people will not care. The s20FE is better in every measurable way, and you can tell me that the Pixel 5 has a better camera. Its the SAME CAMERA that has been used since the Pixel 2. You would think considering its such an outdated sensor that it would cost less. Nope.

Want more? The OnePlus 8 is 599$ (was 699$) and it has even better specs than the S20 FE. Things like 30 watt fast charging, under display finger print scanners, bigger screens, bigger batteries, etc. And now the iPhone 12 which looks to be freaking amazing and unique compared to its predecessors, is only 100$ more than the Pixel 5.

There is also this strategy, that the samsung and apple agreed to raise prices of their flagships to 1000$ so that then they could sell you mediocre 2-3 year old hardware for 700$. This is very plausible since in reality, the flagships aren't worth nor cost 1000$ and are only marginally better than their 800-900$ variants. This is pretty obvious with things like the new note and s20 series, where, the ultra is a whopping 1200-1400$ (You could buy an RTX Titan for this money and play video games at 8k) and has pretty much NOTHING but gimmicks over its 1000$ version.

We have hit the wall of diminishing returns. The only devices that are honestly worth the money are the 300-400$ price range, where, you can get a new device every year and not really feel the hit on the wallet, and still enjoy a decent experience through out said year of ownership. It really felt like phones would get better and eventually we would hold on to them longer, making the prospect of owning an android device for 2+ years viable. But alas, this is not the case with the new pricing system, which pretty much makes it pointless. Over 3 years you can either own the Pixel 4a, 5a, and 6a (if we account for the future) and it would cost you just as much as the latest flagship except you would have to hold that for 3 years and deal with the plummeting value.

Enjoy consumerism. GG well played.

Pixel 4 - The Phone Google doesn't care about

Wow it has been 4 years since I have written something on this blog, and the views keep coming on old content. You thought I was gone huh?

I know this blog is supposed to argue in favor of android, but after the launch of the pixel 4, I have seriously considered buying an iPhone for the first time, EVER. Why? Because google really does not care about the pixel 4. AT ALL. Here are a few reasons.

Battery life. You knew this was coming. I understand that 99% of people can get through the day with the Pixel 4's battery. Even I can. 4 to 5 hours of screen on time is all I really need even on the heaviest days. My Pixel 2 XL rarely goes bellow 35% battery. So why does everyone seem to care that they can't get comparable battery life out of this phone compared to other flagships? Price. This phone costs between 800 and 1000 bucks. There are plenty of phones out there that have better battery life. But here is the issue, you can't fit a bigger battery life into these phones because of all the new tech that is being put in them. The new Soli sensor's and face unlock and infrared and so on take up space. So yeah, beat it. Honestly, reviewers who test these phones hammer them with use cases that are totally unreasonable. No one uses their phones for 24 to 48 hours without charging, and if you get stranded without a charger or you get lost in the middle east on the run from terrorists, I think you have bigger issues than what percent your battery says. Seriously, stop using your phone so much. I have seen screenshots that show 2 hours of twitter usage at max brightness. WHY? Personally I consider myself a heavy user, but with auto brightness, wifi, and dark mode, I can make my OLD AS HELL nexus 5 last a full day on 2300mah, let alone 2800mah on a brand new super efficient smartphone. Try using your galaxy note at full 1000 nit brightness on twitter for 2 hours. GOOD LUCK.

Gestures. You know, considering people are trying to multitask while using their phones, this is actually a good feature. Everyone says this is a gimmick but Soli is a God send. Maybe in the future we will be able to swipe through tinder and text while driving using gestures and not have to look away from our phone. I will simply point a middle finger at my phone and it will type "F*ck You" and send the text on its way. Seriously, this is such a useless feature at the moment because the only place I will use it, is my alarm clock and google play music, but I mean, its not like I have a life where I can't pick up my phone sometimes. Hell I have a JOB I can't pick up my phone all the time.

Face unlock. Guess what, now your spouse will be able to unlock your phone when you are asleep and snoop through your text and browser history! Let me give you a pro tip. Use incognito mode in chrome, delete texts from your side chick, and use a freaking pin on your photos app. There you go! Now you won't get a divorce. Moving on.

Low brightness display. 400 nits is just not bright enough guys. Seriously, I am getting old, like closer to 30 years old, and I am slowly going blind. I have a hard time seeing my phone because I am outside so much because now that I'm old I have enough time to hang out with my non existent spouse at the park watching my non existent kids play candy crush on their iPad. Nope. Can't see anything google, notch up the brightness please!

High refresh rate screen! YES. FINALLY. This feature is great, but apparently it does not work as intended, because it switches to 60hz when you don't need 90hz. Honestly, I got killed playing PUBG on my phone the other day because I didn't have a 90hz screen and he did so he had a competitive edge, so now I am salty that phones have become like PC gaming, I am sorry but I saw you first because I have a high refresh rate monitor. Beat that.

The phone snaps like a kitkat. Here is the thing guys, yesterday, I sat on my phone and never noticed it. Luckily it's a Pixel 2 XL and its so durable I dropped it at work without a case from the second floor onto concrete and it was 100% OKAY. I wonder how many of you guys sit on your phone for fun, I am sure if you run it at max brightness, charge it, and play PUBG on it, you will be able to warm your ass with it while sitting on it. What a brilliant idea. Just don't get a pixel 4 it will snap into pieces.

I think this sums up everything wrong with the pixel 4 and why paying money for a SUPERIOR piece of software compared to iOS or Touchwiz (my bad, One UI) is not worth it. But I am upgrading from my 2XL to the Pixel 4. Because I value an absolutely unobtrusive user experience. I have cut down my phone usage significantly. I spend at most 4 hours on it a day if that, that is including youtube, prime movies, and crunchyroll. Speaking of witch I recently got into anime, and damn it looks like crap on 400 nits 90hz at 1440p. I think I need Sony to make me another 4k HDR phone except at 120hz because my animations just don't look good enough.

iPhone SE - Still a phone from 2013

I'll be blunt. The new iPhone SE is a phone from 2013.
Not because its using a dual core processor. Not because of the 640p display (which is adequate for a 4" screen size). Not because of the horrendous bezels. Not because of the dated f2.2 aperture (like come on apple, not even f2.0).

It's because its still only 16gb of storage. Like seriously? That means when I take it out of the box, i will have around 12gb of usable storage if I'm lucky. Then after i put my 4gb of music on it I'm down to 8gb, and after installing numerous apps, probably around 5gb (got this from my nexus 6), I'm down to 3gb of storage. So when iOS 10 comes out later this year, i wont have enough room to download the update.

THE FUCK APPLE.

I'm using a 32gb nexus 6, and im down to 7gb of storage, and that is after recently flashing back to stock and doing a full wipe and reset (because I was trying out android N beta). Last time i used a 16gb phone was back in 2013/2014 with a nexus 5, it was enough back then but even my mom, who picks up her phone once every few days doesn't have enough room to take a video.

Apple, you've done it again!
400$ (sereously 399 is 400 + the 6% USA tax will be 425$) for a phone that is as small as a tictac and has no storage.
Apple, learn from the Sony Z compact line please. Thank you.

Android 5.1 Lollipop

Ive been running android 5.1 lollipop on my nexus 5 for a while now, its a red model too.
Its smooth as butter, but still needs polishing. Ive also used it on the OnePlus One, and i can tell you, the OnePlus One is deffintely faster and smoother, maybe because its a bigger screen and it gives the illusion of being smoother.

What does android need to fix?
Flashlight breaks the camera...this bug has been around for flipping ever.
oh, and fix the stuttering when i open an app, instead it just shows the app, no animation....

Is android 5.1 good? Hell yes, but im feeling like the nexus 5 is slowing down on me and i cant wait till the new nexus comes out.

Update 4/21/2015

Hello everyone!
Yes haven't posted a thing in about 2 years, which might seem odd.
College takes up lots of time plus i kind of found that android was a bit stagnant for a while and publishing anything was completely pointless, but now, here's a quick update for 2015!

1) Galaxy S6
The galaxy s6 (and edge) are pretty beast in my opinion. Ive always hated touch wiz, always disliked the cheapness of the galaxy line in general, and i think i actually like the galaxy s6 over the m9! wow right? Ive always been a die hard HTC fan and no offense, the M9 is not little toy either.
Its running a 64 bit octacore exynos chipset from samsung backed by 3 gigabytes of ram, an f/1.9 camera! Insane! And quad HD on a 5.1 inch display, also insane, but i think the quad HD is not needed at all.

2) The M9 didn't surprise anyone, its just another HTC, sense UI looks better and better every time but the M9 is essentially an M8 with upgraded internals and perfected exterior. The camera i hear is total crap though.

3) The LG G4 will be coming out at the beginning of may and im very excited to see what will serve as a basis to the new nexus 5 2015. F1.8 camera, snapdragon 808, quad HD, more ram i assume, etc. Its supposedly covered in leather....LG listen to me, DONT DO IT.

4) Oh yeah, the iphone 6. its a piece of crap. again. dont worry about it.

Prediction on the Nexus 5 2015

If its based of the LG G4 ill have to use some rumors about it:
Snapdragon 808
2 gigabytes of ram
8 or 13 MP f2.0 camera
32/64 gigabytes of storage.
5.2 inch 1080p IPS LCD display
2mp front camera
price:~ 400$ off contract. That's reasonable.

HTC First - High end or mid range?

Sorry everybody for not posting for such a long time. I have been bogged down with college and things like that, and really there wasn't much exciting going on. But im back and will be posting more often.

So. I got a new phone yes and its the HTC First!

The thing is, HTC and many revierws say its a mid-range device. Now here ill try to prove to you that this is a high end device.

1. Proccessor.
The HTC First contains a Qualcolm snapdragon 400 proccessor capable of 1.7 GHz and is dual core. HTC limited the phone to 1.4 GHz (this is to show that it "isnt" as good as the HTC One x or any popular high end device).
2. GPU
The HTC First has an Adreno 305 proccessor, much more advanced than the one in the HTC One X for example.
3. Resolution.
Although its a 4.3 inch display, it has 341 Pixels per inch (not including sub pixels). Litteraly you cant see the pixels AT ALL. its 720x1080p display with more of a 2:3.5 ratio.
4. Other Features
It has both a front and rear facing camera with a dual LED flash.
Large speaker for 100+ db.
16gb of storage.
1gb of ram.
Running STOCK AOSP android jelly bean 4.1.2
2000mah battery with up to 15 hours of battery with moderate use and wifi on all day.

The true only difference between this and the One X for exampe are
1. Dual core vs Quad Core
2. Great vs Good battery life
3. 4.3 inch vs 4.7 inch screen
4. 341ppi vs ~300ppi
5. Adreno 305 vs lower class gpu (unknown)
6. 5mp camera vs 8mp camera
7. Loud speaker vs beats audio

So basicaly. If you want better battery life, a smaller screen which is still big enough, higher resoulion screen, go for the HTC First.

**Facebook home can be disabled
**There is no Sense UI
**Rootable
**Cyanogenmod ports are in progress since the HTC First has been "discontinued" and will not receive any android updates.

No nexus 4, no official 4.3, stupid nexus 7 3rd gen

The thing is everyone is waiting for the NEXUS 4 and for the official 4.3 update.

Well....its not gona happen.
The nexus 4 will simply be upgraded, and will still be the nexus 4, just with better hardware...or worse.
By worse i mean the new nexus 7 3rd generation. Off the top of my head i can tell that it has no
1. rear / main camera
2. no graphics card
3. slower proccesor
4. less ram
5. no 3g capability

This is stupid, why downgrade the best tablet in the world. The thing is, the nexus 7 2 gen is worth more than the 3 gen by almost 150 dollars. But the nexus 7 comes with android 4.3.

There will be no official releast of android 4.3, its been out and no comotion because literaly nothing much has changed, android has reached its peak, just like i os 6.

This was bound to happen, a perfect design would be found and they would stick to it. There are a good number of phones running android 4.3 officially and not. This was created by the massive leak of the system dump.

well, that is it....google....screwed up this quarter.

iPhone Android Windows - who is who

I was sitting down looking around at the latest smartphone news and really i found a great way to compare the various smartphones in the world.
I will be comparing them to teenagers in a school
The school, is the world, and a student in the school, is a smartphone.

Now, the iPhone. These are the popular crowd at school, and some kids will be willing to give up some of their freedoms and rights, just to be here. The iphone, gave up inovation, simply to be at the top, they completely forgot about the latest hardware and software features out there, this is causing them to lag behind, a little. They simply fulfill the minimum amount of homework, and minimum grades to have more time to hang out, gossip, and socialize. The iPhone, has very low end hardware, looks, style, and features, as far as android and windows go. They are still on dual core, which, they dont "NEED" more, they are "OKAY" with that, the screen is 4 inches, yet not proportional, and so on. There is no innovation.

Android, can be compared to the majority of the school, they come in various shapes, sizes, IQ's and abilities. Just like android. This makes the majority of the school/world, more innovative, and more diverse, making it easier to fit in to the crowd, because everyone is excepted.

Windows is way different, these are you might say, those boys and girls who try to have 100% in everything, putting friends and family behind. Windows is desperately trying to get to the top, using precision, and performance, rather than diversity and innovation. And since they are in a minority, it is harder.

This was simply a brain storm. nothing personal.

iOS7 copies android, is iOS 7 better than android

Ok. iOS 7 will have a complete UI overhaul. Most of the icons and ui features have been copied from existing android apps and launchers, and some features have been copied DIRECTLY from android.
let me comment on some of the key features of ios7

Key features

  • Complete UI overhaul with adaptive colors and system-wide Back swipe gesture
    • Android has had it
  • New system icons and folders, animated icons available
    • most icons have been stolen from apps like go launcher, and phones like the xiomi mi series and the miezu mx series
  • System-wide parallax effect
  • Dynamic wallpapers
    • live wallpapers...TO LATE APPLE, its been around for freaking ever
  • Control Center with toggles, multimedia controls and shortcuts
    • Um, the new android jelly bean quick toggles pannel?
  • Updated Notification Center with three tabs
    • just like android and miui
  • All apps multitasking with new card interface
    • um, EXACT SAME AS ANDROID, the android multitasking system where it gives you a CARD list of running apps.
  • Updated Safari browser with unified search filed
    • google
  • iTunes radio
    • who cares
  • AirDrop file sharing
    • i tunes yet again, to itunes dependant
  • Inclinometer within the Compass app
    • has been invented since like 2008
  • Camera filters with live preview and new square mode
    • nothing has changed
  • New Photos app with better photo organization, picture editing
    • android invented the whole "edit picture" thing since andorid 4.0, 2 years ago.
  • Weather app with live weather animations
    • google now can beat that
  • Updated Maps with Night mode and Turn-by-Turn walking directions
    • i bet they pay google, to use google maps, just renamed
  • New Siri interface, new supported commands, new voices
    • google voice?
  • Contact Blacklist
    • old
  • FaceTime audio
    • what the heck, who needs that
  • Activation lock
    • old
  • Automatic app update
    • old, android HAS had that since version ZERO
  • Cellular data usage breakdown
    • old
  • Chinese-English, Italian, Korean and Dutch dictionaries
    • android has a dictionary for EVERY LANGUAGE, so does windows
  • iOS in the Car coming in 2014 in selected cars
    • um...the android car app.

Main disadvantages

  • Very iTunes dependent for uploading files and multimedia
  • No open file system means you often have to duplicate files
  • Limited integration of 3rd party social networks and services
  • No widgets
  • Air Drop works only between selected iOS 7 or later running devices
  • No lockscreen shortcuts (besides those in the Control Center)
  • Very basic camera UI with limited features and settings
  • Limited codecs support
  • iTunes radio only works in the US

Stock Android Galaxy S4

OK, so i read this bit on GSM arena this morning.

QUOTE""

While it's quite unlikely that we'll see a new Nexus phone at this year's Google I/O, which starts later today, Samsung might have a surprise in store – a pure Android version of the Galaxy S4 flagship, a "Google Edition".
This phone will reportedly drop the company's TouchWiz modifications and use the stock AOSP version instead. Now, we should note that this is an unlikely pipedream, but it would be a great option to have.
Except, there are problems – Samsung has put a lot of custom software on the Galaxy S4, but it's there to run a lot of the custom hardware and features. Air View, Air Gestures, IR remote, Adobe RGB screen mode, Multi-window and so on, all rely on Samsung's proprietary software. Many of the camera features too (though Android's stock Photo Sphere will make a good replacement for 360 photo).
The S4 as it is now runs Android 4.2.2, the latest version available as of today, so at least Samsung has that bit covered. Though without the complications of TouchWiz, software upgrades will potentially come a lot more quickly.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition will launch in June on T-Mobile, or so say the rumors. We have our fingers crossed, but it's still an unlikely thing to happen.
""UNQUOTE

Now this is all fine and well, but that is not the only reason everyone but americans do not prefer the S3 and S4.

HTC Is Coming Back

HTC hasn't had the best of times in the market over the past year and a half, losing huge chunks of its market share and seeing revenues contract rapidly. However, the April numbers show that the company may finally be starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Boosted by the launch of the One flagship, HTC revenues rose 23% in March and reached NT$19.6 billion ($657 million). However, such was the scale of the HTC recent troubles that even after such significant jump the company's earnings are 36.9% lower than they were in the same month of last year. Still the decline was 48.6% last month, so things are at least moving in the right direction.
Besides, HTC's CEO Peter Chou expects to see even better performance in May in June, as the supply shortages for the One loosen up. The total revenues for Q2 are estimated to reach $2.4 billion, meaning that sales should increase by a further 50% over the next couple of months.

Android 4.3 already out, NO 5.0, NO Key Lime Pie. Already running on nexus line

When Google I/O is underway, there’s usually some new Android version waiting to be unveiled. Despite all the murmurs about Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, this I/O might bring just 4.3 Jelly Bean.
The version number first showed up in logs of the Android Police website and now Android Authority is reporting its server logs show visits from Android 4.3 devices. They seem to run newer builds than the JWR23B that visited AP (note: the first letter of the build number matches the first letter of the codename).
But more interesting is the list of device names that run version 4.3. There’s the Nexus 4 phone, the older Galaxy Nexus, the two Google tablets, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. Then there are two surprising entries - a yet to be announced Huawei U8819 and a rather low-end Pantech Breakout (listed as ADR8995).
The Breakout packs a single-core 1GHz processor and just 512MB of RAM. If that’s enough oomph for Android 4.3 then the news should be good as far as the eligibility for upgrades of old devices is concerned (it would fall to the manufacturer).
It’s interesting that the Pantech reported it’s running Android 4.3.1 Key Lime Pie so there is a chance the new version of the OS will get a new name, but it could just be an eager dev putting in the wrong name in the build.
Google I/O starts in two weeks, but the two-day keynote has been cut down to a single day, which potentially means no groundbreaking changes (and no 5.0).

HTC Releases HTC M4

Take a look at the picture...its an HTC One....no its not, its smaller less powerful version.
Quote from GSM Arena "As for the specifications of the device, the M4 is said to have a 4.3-inch, 720p display, dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and a 1,700mAh battery. Interestingly, the M4 will also feature an UltraPixel camera"

Android News Update 3/26/2013

Well it seems like HTC is really trying to stay afloat. Its method at the moment is to produce alot of different phones for everyone instead one popular phone like Samsung. HTC is having a hard economic time right now and needs more income and popularity, so lets help the on company that has stuck with android from the beginning. They are releasing a new Desire P, huh, P really, ah who cares, its an HTC right? But the biggest thing is not the cheap plastic samsung galaxy s 4, but the HTC ONE, which is a full metal body, super thin and not to large not to small, its perfect with the new HTC Sence 5 UI.

Ever since Motorola was bought by google, it has taken a significant image from google, check out the new Motorola X, a beauty isn't it?
Close window
It will be the first phone with a 4000mAh BATTERY, that is huge and will last any hard core gamer for more than 24 hours, that is awesome. I see the UI is standard google. but you have to admit, it is great looking.

People are waiting for the New Samsung galaxy s4, which samsung has always been gay. Plastic, huge, over glorified, and lots of advertising. My friend fell for the s3, and now i quote him "Im never going for samsung again, next is HTC". See that is a real person saying that.

I hope HTC does well with the One, and motorola does well with this awsome X and that samsung well get a big "minus" on their income and hopefully crash. Haha, not gona hapen right, lots of naive people gona fall for samsung this year.

News: LG, Samsung and Alcatel

LG is now making a 5.5 inch Optimus G Pro. That is freaking huge, why, phones are big as it is and getting even bigger is pointless because a tablet is 6.5 inches +. One more inch and smartphones will not longer be phones. its not that i dont like big screens but i only like 4-4.25 inch screens. I dont like really big screens. The LG will start first start selling in japan in mid april.

Samsung has announced that it will be keeping the physical home button on its samsung galaxy s4.

Here is a cool phone that i wish we could have in the USA. From GSM Arena:

TCL has just unveiled its latest smartphone. The Alcatel One Touch Star is a mid-range handset with a stylish design and extremely attractive price tag that we are hoping to see showcased at the MWC in two weeks.

The One Touch Star sports a 4" display, 1GHz dual-core processor along with 512 MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a front-facing VGA camera, 4 GB of internal memory with microSD support and a 1,500 mAh battery.
Surprisingly, the device will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which is still pretty rare to be found in the mid-range.
Alcatel One Touch Star will retail for around 2,000 SEK (about $315) in Sweden and is expected to be available in European markets very soon.

Tune cars drag racing game android: tips and tricks

I have already posted on how tuning works on the drag racing game for android. But i have learned some new tips that you might want to know.

1. for Rear wheel drive cars with lost of horsepower, you might need to lower down the final drive to reduce the burnout. but for 4 wheel drive cars you should increase the final drive to get a bit of a slip on the wheels so that you could get max grip with max power. that is key, gear ratios are really good the way they are until you are like trying to get an extra .0001 seconds faster.

2. IF you adjust your gear ratios, make sure your car accelerates smoothly and constantly  not just at high rpm's. this means that  your car will keeps its speed until hitting 7k rpm and then accelerate, and then you shift and it sits again. If you have this problem increase the gap between the gear rations that you are having this problem with.
