ZTE is coming back and LG is getting better

Ok, ZTE is a small android smartphone manufacturer, i personaly have a ZTE and its ok but not such a high quality build and most of the ZTE phones are low end 600 800 megahertz phones. But now ZTE wants to show what it is made of.

Rumored for a next year release comes the ZTE Apache. It will reportedly run on an 8 (that's right, eight) core processor made by MediaTek. It will be made using the TSMC 28 nm process with Cortex-A15 CPU inside.

The ZTE Apache is expected to arrive by May next year and sport a 13 MP camera, 1080p display, 3G and 4G LTE. There's nothing else we know about the smartphone at this stage, but ZTE already has our attention.

The first dual-core smartphone come to the market in early 2011 and the first quad-cores were unveiled at the MWC in February this year. This means that seeing eight-cores in 2013 is possible.

All I have to say is...WHAT THE FLIP!!!

Now LG is now becomeing like HTC, pump out phones as fast as possible (afap).

LG is going to release a successor to the Optimus G successor – that rumor is hardly going to raise any eyebrows. However we also got to learn the some of the purported specs of the device and that's where things get exciting.

The LG Optimus G2 (or perhaps G II) is reportedly going to pack a quad-core 2.0 or 2.5 GHz Krait processor, an Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM (at least). This sounds a lot like the Qualcomm's MSM8974 chipset, which is a part of the chip maker's upcoming Prime lineup.

At the front there's going to be a newly developed LG display, which will have 1080p resolution. We already heard that LG is working on a 1080p screen for smartphones and it's only logical that the Optimus G successor will be the first to employ it.

As for the camera, 13MP or more will be present for sure, since the current generation Optimus G is already offering 13MP snapper on its back.

Finally, the rumor has it that the Android version powering the next LG flagship will be 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

The Optimus G2 will hit the market next year and while LG is (supposedly) aiming at a Q3 release, which makes sense, given that the Qualcomm chipset is only going to become available in Q2 of next year.

Epic News About CyanogenMod

CyanogenMod Hit by Rogue Team Member

Recently, the more astute among you may have noticed that the CyanogenMod project has begun to use the cyanogenmod.org domain rather than their previous .com version—a seemingly incongruous change, unfortunately driven by a malicious team member (turned rogue).

SatanR1, to use his username, bought the .com domain name for CyanogenMod via his company, Metserve Enterprises, when they started their own site to host builds and infrastructure such as their build system and distribution network. At some point in the past few months, the owner of the domain decided to fraudulently impersonate Steve Kondik (Cyanogen) towards companies, in order to seek donations and financial contributions. These were claimed to be going to the CyanogenMod project, but were in fact going directly to the impersonator himself.

To make matters worse, this user had (and has) full control of the .com domain name (which CyanogenMod are currently attempting to regain via the ICANN dispute procedure). The impersonator tried to extort $10,000 from the team to have the domain name returned (which they naturally cannot and will not pay). As of today, the domain name has been directed away from the project’s site, presumably in an attempt to try to gain some further money from the team.

To echo the request from the CyanogenMod Team,

If you are a company out there that believes they have also entered into agreements with “CM” by this person impersonating Steve, please contact Shade@chemlab.org. We’d like to get a handle on how widespread this was before we file charges.

The Android community is fairly tightly knit, and to see such a flagrant abuse of trust is frankly shocking. To see someone attempt to extort vast sums of money from an open source project (after already having obtained large sums of money by purporting to represent them to other companies) is likely very distracting for the team, yet they have pressed ahead with the release of CyangenMod 10 nonetheless.

I hope you will agree that this kind of behavior is totally unacceptable, and that such unethical business practices, especially by someone operating under the guise of their business, should be condemned by the community as a whole.

Samsung Galaxy SIII Review

hello viewers, posting my first review is exciting. i would like to say being the owner of a Galaxy s3 verizon, i love the phone. No lag at all is all i can say. Software is latest ice cream sandwich 4.0.4. The 4G LTE is blazing fast internet ranging from 15-20mb per second. The camera is just outstanding both in low light and bright light pictures. What i like best about the phone is the speed and the size of the screen. A 1.5 Gig processor is plenty for any task. With 2gig of ram. i only use about half of that multitasking on just about every app i have. Although the screen is big, its sometimes difficult pressing something toward the top right because of the size of the screen. i have also opened and disassembled just about every piece on the phone. so say something broke, all it takes is 10 screws and you're in. unlike the iphone cough* (i love the iphone) cough* (not) you cant take the back out and do as needed. The phone is thin and light. And if you happen to be in a war of some sort, you could use it as a shield. ;)

the only fraud i see in this phone is the plastic makeup. i had it for only 3 days and the power button is loose which again is plastic and if it were metallic then there would be no problem. Also, if mulitasking and using it for about an hour while on charge, the battery will get hot but thats not a major issue.

my overall rating for the phone:  8.5

the plastic makeup makes it light i understand but easy to break. so consider that when buying this phone.

other than that, i would say its the second best aside with the Droid DNA.

Apple Patents Are Retarded

Patent System Fail: All your Rectangle with Rounded Corners are Belong to Apple

In a move for which no level of facepalm can suffice, the USPTO granted Apple a patent for a rectangle with rounded corners last week. Regardless of how ridiculous it may sound, sadly it’s true. According to patent no. D670,286, design rights for a “portable display device” with an external shape that is a rectangle with rounded corners are now owned by Apple.

Note that only the solid line is part of the patented design; the dotted lines serve as mere reference, or more likely influence, to make it look more like a patentable product, but who exactly are they fooling here? The USPTO, apparently.

What makes it even more inexplicable is the fact that design patents are almost always quite specific, to the extent that anyone else would really need to replicate that particular design in order to infringe upon it. In this case however, nothing else but the rounded cornered rectangular shape is patented—no buttons, no back shape, no screen shape, not even the radius of the rounded corner. This in itself raises questions about the practical validity of this patent, and whether those in charge of putting a stamp on this patent application were under the influence or in the reality distortion field.

As most of you may know, this isn’t the first time Apple has resorted to something like this. The company has had a history of getting overly broad and non-essential patents, trying tolicense them to its competitors, and taking to court those who fail to comply. Such broad patents awarded to Apple in the past were at times deemed as invalid by the USPTO after further investigations but the damage was done by that time, in form of import bans on competitors for the products initially declared as infringing. In the end, it’s the consumers who suffer from all of this.

So what should be the course of action from here? As discussed recently by egzthunder1 inThe Weekly Apple Fail Update, both the USPTO and the US justice system should take cues from the UK, extract their heads from their rears, and take a closer look at what is being examined before awarding a patent or a ruling. Untill that happens, let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that Apple doesn’t start taking all tablet and smartphone manufacturers to court for infringing upon this one.

HTC Droid DNA Best Android Ever Made

HTC is having a hard time competing at the highest level of the smartphone market lately, but its latest smartphone might be what was needed to turn the tables. The all-caps name of the HTC DROID DNA is, for once, well deserved as this is certainly one of the most exciting smartphones we have seen lately.

On paper the DROID DNA is the strongest candidate for the smartphone of the season title.

The defining feature of the DROID DNA is the 1080p resolution of the display - that's over double the pixels of an HD screen. This pushes the pixel density to the insane 440ppi, leaving the 326ppi Retina display in the dust.

The 5" screen of the HTC DROID DNA uses Super LCD 3 tech - the One X used the previous generation of this tech, so we expect nothing but the best. We'll be taking a closer look at it soon enough as we're at HTC and Verizon's New York event.

The rest of the phone is nothing to frown at either - it's powered by the same Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset as the Google Nexus 4, which has four Krait cores, 2GB RAM and Adreno 320 on board. It has wireless charging too.

Two crucial differences between the DNA and the Nexus (aside from the screen, of course) are the LTE connectivity, supported by the Verizon 4G network.

HTC didn't stop there - they added some of their signature features to the phone. Sure, the latest Sense UI is present, on top of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but there's also the 8MP camera with F/2.0 aperture and ImageChip (which handles the advanced camera features) and Beats Audio with their 2.55v amplifier.

The only worry is that all of this is running off a 2,020mAh battery, which is smaller than what the HTC One X+ got.

There will be a lot to test when the HTC DROID DNA gets in our lab, but we'll start with an on-site hands-on. Stay tuned - the live photos garnished with our first impressions should appear on the following pages shortly.

LG and the Nexus 4 fail to meet expectations!

About a week and a half ago i posted that the LG Nexus 4 is the best phone their is, but to be the nexus means to be the best. Well LG has completely disapointed me and many others.

Several pictures of the LG-built Google Nexus 4 have been showing up across the Internet. The featured image in this article really caught my eye because it shows the internals of the device relatively well. While this device has not yet been released, a lot can be said (and judged) about a device’s hardware, even without full board shots. Overall, it appears to show that LG’s build quality is considerably lower than that of the Samsung Nexus devices in the past. In this article, I intend to write about the design pros and cons of the highly anticipated Nexus 4.

Design Pluses

Large external speaker - One of the biggest complaints with Samsung’s designs is the low powered/small sized speaker. While it delivers a trade-off in battery life versus sound quality/quantity,  the Nexus 4′s larger speaker should suffice to produce adequate sound.

Good speaker placement - The speaker placement on the Nexus 4 places the speaker at the corner of the device rather than the center, where your palm blocks it in portrait mode. While the Galaxy Nexus forces you to hold the device in an odd position to bounce sound from your palm to your ear while in portrait mode, the Nexus 4 will not have this problem. The corner orientation places the speaker in a optimal position for both landscape and horizontal palm redirection while watching movies.   This same orientation can be seen on the Meizu MX.

Design Minuses

Bolted in battery - The defining line between “Operator Replaceable” and “Qualified Service Technician” is the use of tools. The Nexus 4 not only requires a screw driver, but the plastic tabs on the edges will break if removed improperly. Once those tabs are broken, signal quality will be lost from the connection with the Spring Antenna Connections.

Spring Antenna Connections - The problem with Spring Antenna Connections or simply Spring Connections in general is: When tension is lost, signal is lost. Loss of tension between the back plate and the board can occur when a tab breaks or the back plate is warped. Warping of back plates can occur easily, and is quite frequent as devices age from stress, dropping, impact, or even a day in a hot car. You may notice some old devices such as remote controls or phones will squeak and creek when you press on them. This noise is generally attributed to warping or breakage of tabs, which would be critical for the WiFi/NFC/data/GPS/Bluetooth connections on the Nexus 4.

Lack of impact zones - Many current devices including Samsung’s entire lineup include impact areas around the bolts and the edge of the device.  This allows the device to sustain impact without altering the physical structure of the board, causing components to come lose.  The absence of impact areas causes a device to be more fragile and less resistant to impacts.  This also increases a device’s warpage risk, which can alter device dimensions and cause the Spring Connections to fail.

Tape used instead of structure and shielding - A well designed device will use its own structure to hold components in place. Tape is a disposable part. Disposable parts have no place inside of a properly designed device. The disadvantage here is tape can take components off the board when removed. Tape is also messy, and leaves residue on a board and other components. There is never a situation when using tape instead of physical structure is required, and the use of tape is often a harbinger for other build quality problems.

Recommendations for next revision

Make the speaker grill bigger - A speaker grill is designed to keep the operator’s fingers out, not to keep water out.  The small size of the speaker grill on the Nexus 4 will impede speaker sound and motion, and thus the overall dB level. This physical obsturction means the speaker wastes power on compression of air rather than audible sound creation.

Replace the battery tape - Instead of using tape for the battery, a slight overhang at the bottom of the metalized battery section will suffice to keep the battery from moving around inside the device.  Another way is to place glue or double-sided tape on the bottom of the battery.

Replace the communications tape - Instead of metalized tape on the communications section of the board, use a physical shield cap, which makes it serviceable and more tidy.

Use impact zones - Impact zones prolong device life.

Use a physical connector and a film substrate for the back cover - The back cover of the device consists of several separate connections spread across the entire device.  This means warpage anywhere in that area can cause the device to lose connectivity.   The primary focus of a mobile device is connectivity, and that should not be trusted to spring connections. The spring connections should be replaced with a physical connector of some sort. A physical connector would also save space.

Do not bolt down batteries - Batteries should be easily removable in the event of a problem.  Getting the rear cover off is enough work.  The compression method has been trusted across the spring connectors on the board, which are held in place solely by pressure. A proper connector holds itself in place. A slight bit of foam-rubber would do the same job as a spring, save space, save tools and remove the need for “tools” when replacing the battery.

Do not put the IMEI on the back cover – There will surely be aftermarket accessories for the device or people who want to replace the back cover, or add an extended battery.  The IMEI should be on the board, or at least bolted to the device.

At first glance, the Nexus 4′s hardware appears to be a quality downgrade from the Galaxy nexus which we reviewed previously.  After release we hope to be able to give a much better analysis.

Android Phone Wars Episode 5

Ok, for now, their were not many phones to compare but now....(drum roll)...their is!

Today we will be taking a look at the HTC One X+, The LG Optimus G, The new Google Nexus 4, and the current winner, The Samsung Galaxy SIII.

So lets get a round up on the Samsung galaxy s 3. The phone is crazily thin and when i got to hold it, i was afraid i would break it right their in my hand. It is now updatable to android 4.1 and maybe 4.2. It has a 4.8 inch full HD super AMOLED display. It has a 4 core 1.4 ghz proccesor. It has 16, 32, and 64 gb of storage. It has a 2100 mAh battery. It has a load of sensors: Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Gyro sensor, and even a barometer. It has a digital compass and RGB Light sensor.

It has a 8 megapixel camera with no shutter lag at all. The front camera is 1.9 mega pixels. The video recording is 30 fps and full HD.

It comes in around 6 colors (i think) and available at $199 on contract from At&t and T-Mobile.

I think it stacks up well against the rest of the phones.

The LG Optimus G came out a couple of days ago and it is a shocking device from LG. It has a 1.5 ghz 4 core proccesor. It has 16 gb storage capability, 2100 mAh battery, 4.7 inch screen which is able to be used as a dual screen. You can play a game and check your email at the same time. The camera is 8 mp, and front camra is 1.3 mp. The video recording is HD resolution.

This is intense from LG. Usualy LG makes small phones like the Optimus one.

So the specs are crazy for an LG.




The HTC One X came out not to long ago, and for some reason, being the most powerful phone is just not enough. It seems like they hacked their own phone and over clocked it to 1.7 GIGA HERTZ, 
What the Heck! This is the all new ONE X +

So it has a 1.7 GHz quad core processor, an 8 mp camera on the back, A 4.7 inch screen, It has all the same sensor as the Samsung except that it does not have a barometer and RGB light sensor. It has Beats audio built in enhancements. It has HD video recording and 1.6 mp camera in the front. It also has the same battery as the Samsung.

Now, The GOOGLE NEXUS 4, the new Google nexus. It has a 4 inch screen which i personally thing is perfect. It is running android 4.2 jelly bean 2. it has same Processor and everything as the LG because it is made by LG. The thing is it is unlocked to any GSM network, and comes with 2 different storage capacity. It seems like google is selling it as an ipod instead of phone.

I have no freaking idea what is up with the back of the phone though.




To sum it up:

Samsung gets a total of 8 points
LG gets 6 points
HTC gets 6 points
Nexus gets 8 too!

So our best will go to the new Nexus, because it is a nexus, it is stock. My friend recently bough an S3, even i was confused.

Quick Root, CWM recovery, and flashing guide.

This is a shortened version of all the stupid rooting and flashing guides. Don't worry, if you back up everything you need, then no problems will ever occur, this is the easiest and safest process ever in the world.
do all this on full battery

1. ROOTING
-download z4root app to your phone, hit root, if that does not work, don't worry, download super one click, from shortfuse webiste. turn on usb debugging and then plug it to your pc, hit root once the program is up.

2. Recovery
download rom manager from app store, once it is open, click flash recovery, pick your phone, and wait. to test it, turn off your phone, hold home, volume up, and power at the same time, as soon as you see the unsusual boot image, let go. volume buttons are up and down, back is back, and menu is ok.

3. download rom from internet, and or kernel if needed.
go onto recovery, (power down etc.) navigate to backup and restore, click backup, and then wait. then go to wipe data, click yes, wipe cache too. Go to advanced, click wipe dalvik cache, and wipe battery stats.

4. go to install zip from sd, go to choose zip from sd, then find your rom, flash it, wait, reboot, wait at least 5 minutes, if the phone is not booting properly, then go to recovery, click backup and restore, hit restore, and wait. if the rom is ok, and you need to flash gapps or kernel, go into recovery and flash gapps, reboot, then kernel.

if anything every goes wrong, just restore your backup. need to back up apps? then get android assistant, go to tools, and backup your apps.

note : rebot after each flash (installation of rom and kernel).

LG Making the new Nexus 4

Google announced the new Google Nexus 4, 7 and 10. Meaning the screen size in inches, these devices are as close as you can get to the perfect phone. All three look really good and have some brutal specs. What is interesting, is LG is making it. LG made small, low end devices such as the LG optimus one, optimus v and LG Thrive. But lately I posted about the LG optimus G, which is the best non Google smartphone out their, it packs an outstanding punch to the market. Great processor and other interesting things.

LG has finally made something good!

I recently discovered that the LG Optimus G has been released. Its a heck of a phone really,
specs. The phone will be used as the base for the next google nexus. It is almost perfect, great everything.

When did they come up with this. first its lg optimus one, then optimus black, then the new, best phone in the world. AWSOME. The problem is, it is CDMA which means sprint! sprint gets the best phone ever yet.

It has a 1.5 gHz quad core processor, a 4.7 inch HD display, 10+ hours of talk time because of the 2,100 mAh battery which provides 13.5 days of standby time. It will be running android 4.0 ice cream sandwich. It will come with the new Google Chrome for mobile devices. It is 4G LTE capable. It also has a 13 Mega Pixel camera.

Is it worth waiting for an update? ROM List

Most people can only be convinced of rooting their android because their phone will probably never, ever, EVER, get an official update. That was why i rooted my lg thrive and now it has turned into a more functional phone than a non rooted samsung galaxy s3 will ever be. I am running cyanogen mod 10. But i have used the following
MIUI v3
MIUI v4
CyanogenMod 7-7.2
CyanogenMod 9 (multiple ones, luphirp, aosp, aokp etc.)
CyanogenMod 10
Oxygen Rom android 2.3.7
And alot more weird crazy roms.

These were all roms that had issues and probelms, but even with thoughs problems, it was better than with crapy android 2.2.1.

If your update will come in a month, then wait, but if you have to wait a year, dont wait. Phones like HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy SIII, and Galaxy Nexus, and Nexus 7, will always updates, no mater how old, but others, just have to deal with the fact that they are not going to get updates after 1 year.

Also
Stock Jelly bean, ICS, or gingerbread, is always better than Motoblur, HTC Sense, Samsung Touchwiz UI's. the phones have been screwed up by the customizations.

So the new HTC one x +.
It has .2 GHz faster processor, so HTC is on top with 1.7 GHz quad core.
Its now black and gorgeous. It has a lot of other minor hardware tweaks. The camera has had major improvements and now double the storage and 50 percent more battery life. Sin e it comes with Android jellybean, it has sense 4+ ui instead of just sense 4. It now looks and feels more like stock jellybean.

Huh, I don't think the iPhone can beat that...ever...ever. that's good they can't, the faster they leave the world the better.
Go android and go HTC.

Fail of iOS 6

I read a lot about iOS 6 and found it to be not the usually brilliant update but a disaster. I'm here in English 101 and nothing to do. Maps do t work, update doesn't gives siri to iPhone 4 and lower, takes up 2gb. My jellybean ROM is only like 110 mb. Wow, my friend had an 8gb iPhone, what now. No maps, no siri...Hm...he was thinking about jail breaking it, I wish he did and he too.
-1 for iPhone.
Then the phone, simply stretched up, no thought, its not proportional.

Android "Phone Wars" Episode 4, (iphone5 included)

OK, i have not posted any phone wars lately, and I decided....to see if the iPhone 5 will get back on top of the game....or not?!

Tum, tum, tum!The

Anyway, today we have the iPhone 5, our current winner; Samsung Galaxy SIII, and The HTC Evo 4G.

Lets start with the iPhone.
Battery: Li-ON, but no info on how many mAh, but it does have 8 hours of talk time and 9.4 DAYS of standby time. Dang
It now has a total of 6 rows of icons, with the stretched up screen.
It has a 1.5 Ghz A6 processor which is assumed to be quad core.
It has the retina display, which is nothing new to the smartphone world, and the screen is made out of Gorilla glass. nice
It only has 3 sensors, accelerometer, proximity and ambient light sensor.
So not THAT big of a change.

Now, lets leave the best for last, and talk about the HTC
The HTC is basically the basis for the iphone 5, it has just about the same specs other than you can have an sd card and get extra space. But the only problem is it has a basic tft captive screen.

And the samsung galaxy s 3
the only difference between the s3 and the iphone is the sensor and screen size.

Most of you have heard about all these court cases of apple vs. samsung and htc. a year ago apple did not care but as you can see, they are starting to fight for survival.
Apple is pahicking and although on the stock market its doing just fine, it can feel the massive pressure not just from Google, but from the whole OHA (open handset alliance).
Googles android and the phones it runs on (offifially or not) continue to flood the global market and they are affordable and easy to get anywhere on the globe.
Apple has started to release its iPhone for all carriers ajd that kept it afloat. If it stuck with AT&T then it would not exist any more.
So as you can see, apple is panicking, sue everyone for anything. But we all forgot about windows phones. They just sit back relax, and watch the to giants kill eafh other then come in and save the world.

How to play tiny tower OFF LINE, no hacks or cheats.

Ok, a while ago, I posted a post about Mobage spying on android users through the internet only game Tiny Tower. Well now i figured out how to play this awsome game offline.

Don't worry, this is not illegal, and their are no hacks, or cheats or download necessary.

First, make sure you have the latest version of tiny tower.
You will have to do this process after each update.
Two: let the game load with internet connection. play the game, and go to menu>settings> make sure everything is checked off.
Three: press the home button (do this step really quickly), turn off your WiFi using the power widget, that is the fastest way to do so, and then turn the game back on.

**Make sure you don't exit the game, only press home to exit.

you are done!

Android "Phone Wars" episode 3

Well, I think all iphone 4s users are just waiting for me to post "Iphone 4s, best smartphone in the world", uh no, not yet. Maybe in 25 years, and I will tell you why.

Lets start with the Iphone. Many thought it was to come with a 1 GHz processor. But no, it was lowered down to .8 GHz, or 800 MHz. Why is that, well because the iphone's does not need so much speed because it is less functional than all androids and windows phone, which are starting to use 4 core 1.5 GHz processors. Then the screen, it is small. The shape, is terrible and uncomfortable. The battery life is the only advantage it has, and even that came at a cost, of lowering speed and voltage. The camera is fairly well. And you can get multiple storage sizes. Also the iPhone releases alot of radiation.

Then the Current winner, the Samsung galaxy nexus. 1.2 GHz Dual core processor. 5.0 MP camera, 4.65 inch screen super amoled display. 16-32 gigabytes of storage. A whole bunch of sensors that i will not list all over again now, read other posts. Upgradable to android 4.1

Now, the true competitor. The Samsung Galaxy SIII (3). 1.4 GHz 4 core processor. 8 mp, camera. 4.8 inch super AMOLED screen. You can get 16, 23, or 64 gb of storage in the phone built in. Has a way better battery, and all the same sensors. and it is built in with android 4.0.4

Android "Phone Wars" episode 2

Last time we talked about the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the Motorola Atrix 2 and the HTC Rezound. And today i will be talking about the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the Motorola Droid razr maxx, and the HTC One X.

Right off the back of your head you will say, MOTOROLA, well yes, the Motorola Droid razr maxx has a lightning fast dual core processor with a speed of 1.2 GHz, which is the same as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. But it only comes with android 2.3 and is now update-able to android 4.0. Its biggest hit is battery life, it has a 3300 mAh Li-Ion batter that can last you 15.5 days on standby and 20+ hours of talk time. But it gives off the most radiation, compared to most phones. It gives off 1.45 W/kg of radiation, which will basically give you cancer really quick. it has a Super AMOLED screen and is equipped with the following sensors: (Accelerometer (motion sensor) / Proximity Sensor / Ambient Light Sensor). It has a 8.1 mega pixel camera that take hd video and pictures and has a 1.3 mega pixel camera on the front for video chat.

The Samsung is similar yet different to the Motorola droid razr maxx. it has a 5 mega pixel camera, 1750 mAh Li-Ion battery. but it wins out against the Motorola because it has 32 gb of storage rather than 12, and comes with android 4.0 and is upgradable to 4.1, has a 1.2 GHz processor. it gives off half the radiation and it has a gyroscopic sensor (stability sensor, it can tell in what position the phone is in) and a compass.

The HTC One X, the flagship phone for HTC. has a quad (4) core 1.5 ghz proccesor, comes with android 4.0, has a 8 mp camera, has 16 gb of storage capacity. it has the same sensors as the motorola. But you can not put in a micro SD card for extra space like the rest.

So, lets count the points

The HTC vs. The Samsung, which will it be. well the Samsung has more space, more sensors, better android version. Android 4.1 project butter compensates for the speed loss so the Samsung Galaxy nexus is not so slow. The Samsung wins this one gys.

Android "Phone Wars" episode 1

Well on this blog i decided to spice some things up a bit.

And i present to you, ta, ta-ta-taaa, Phone Wars!

Today's competitors are:

Well lets start by naming some of the key features of these phones, all of them have made outstanding progress in technology and i love all three of them, no really, for me it was really hard to announce the winner.

The Motorola Atrix 2 (successor to the Motorola Atrix 4g) comes with android 2.3 gingerbread on board and is just as fast as its father, the atrix 4g. it has a dual core 1ghz processor. it takes hd vidoe and pictures. it has a 4 inch screen and fits well in the persons hand, so it does not feel to big. and it has 8 gigabytes of storage, and is expandable by an sd card to what ever the largest sd card is. It is now upgradable to android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The HTC Rezound (ooooh, the name sends chills down my spine) is not the most well looking phone in the world but it does its job of being smart. it ahs a dual core 1.5 ghz processor! WoW! and it has a large screen, takes great pictures and video. It has a long lasting battery, and has lots of storage capacity, of about 16 gigabytes! It is now upgradable to android 4.0 Ice Cream sandwich.

The Google Nexus S (successor to the Google Nexus by HTC) is the flagship android phone that was the first to come with android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is upgradable to android 4.1 jellybean. It has a 1.2 ghz processor which is fast enough for anyone. it has a large screen of more than 4 inches. it has alot of storage capacity, and takes great pictures and videos.

All these phones seem to be the same, that is why i picked them.

The atrix gets 1 point for HD, and 1 point for storage.

The Atrix is instantly out of the game. The rezound and nexus s have some competing to do. Well, the nexus does not have to be as fast because android jelly bean has project butter on board and their for compensates for the speed loss and jelly bean comes with lots of new changes too. Yes i know, the rezound is upgradable to 4.0, but its to late, 4.1 is out.their for, the Nexus S is our winner of todays episode of Phone Wars.

Android 4.1 JELLY BEAN!! Its finally here!!

Well, jelly bean is not the massive overhaul of android os we thought it was gona be. Its key features is increasing performance, and not the features.

The main thing that is new is SPEED. Most of the animations have been sped up and enhanced to make it more elegant but yet simple and fast. Also Google has incorporated "Project Butter", which obviously means to make it smooth as butter. Its all under the hood of the os and is not noticible in the UI. But it does speed things up.

The UI is changed not to much, the Notification drawer is improved. It doesnt just NOTIFY you anymore, it lets you know more than just the general thing, it gives you details.

And last but not least, Voice to Text, and Text to Voice, and Info to Voice. So its like google's version of siri, except its not called by a retarded name "siri" haha.

Yes, Finaly its here, and the LG Optimus One Group has started on making a port rom of it already and its only been out for a week or so. The project is named JB-One, in other words, jelly bean optimus one rom.

PS: dont try the beta of the rom i stated above, it bricks your phone a bit, just a semi brick with big consequences.

Is Mobage Spying on Android users? Tiny Tower

I saw the game called tiny tower on my friends ipod and he sayed it did not need internet at all (Duh). So i went on the android market, and downloaded, it.

I started up the app, and it sayed it needed aditional data from online. Well that was typical on a game. So i turned on my only source of internet (wifi, i dont have data untill i get a job) and downloaded it. Later on that day, my wifi was off to not drain batter life on my LG Thrive, and the game would not start, i was confused? I turned on my wifi and it worked, wow.

Ok, i played the game for like 2 months and then i strated thinking (lol, first think then do right), why the game needed internet. I read the permissions and here is what it sayed:

  Here is what i think needs to go:
  1. Location! it is always their on most apps, but mobage does not need to know where the fuck im at. (sorry for the language again and again).
  2. Personal info/ contacts, why does mobage want to know who i keep in touch with?

  4.Storage, why does it need to know what music i have on my sd card omfg.
  5.System tools, well some things here can stay but things like : Allows the app to retrieve information about currently and recently running tasks. Malicious apps may discover private information about other apps. I think here mobage is talkin about itself, it is malicous undercover.

What is LazyList on my android SD card?? I have the answer.

OK.
This folder on my sd card called lazy list takes up 70 MB on my 2 GB sd card.
That's a lot of space its taking up. And for a ROM developer 2 GB is not enough.

Well after doing some research and playing around with the files, i figured it out.

Most apps are lazy to go and load everything from the very beginning, especially launchers, they don't feel like going in and figuring out whats on screen 2 or screen 100...1000, so they save it as cache and that cache is stored in the sd card, if their is one. most apps do this to improve performance and decrease load time because they are "Lazy" and that is why its called a "Lazy" List.

Hope this helps to all those people online who are trying to figure out his problem.

To find out which apps do save in this folder, you can just go to your apps in your settings, and click on a random app and it should say cache.........150kb or something like that, that means it has saved cache on the lazy list folder.

Not all apps save cache there. They can save it in a seperate folder called somthing different and having unknown files.

Android 5.0 Jelly Bean, Features, Info

Apperntly Android released Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and it is still being patched up and fixed and updated, and currently 4.0.7. And Android is just rushing, kind of like the version number will sell more phones.

Google is getting ready to release android 5.0 Jelly Bean already, while most phones are still running 2.2 Froyo and 2.3 Gingerbread.

The first phone to recieve this phone will be the Samsung Galaxy Nexus S and this phone only costs a WHOPPING $400. (GSM Unlocked though).

Google has released the Android versions in alphabetical order – C (Cupcake), D (Donut), E (Eclair), F (Froyo), G (Gingerbread), H (Honeycomb) and I (Ice Cream Sandwich). The next version of the Android mobile and tablet OS will be named Android 5.0 Jelly Bean. Wow! How educational, soon kids will be say these in school to learn the alphabet. HAHA.

MIUI, The future of android? The best ROM?

I used MIUI (UI-One ROM), and ofcourse it has many problems on my LG Thrive, but as far as im concerned, MIUI amazed me. I was shocked when I used it on other phones such as the Nexus one. Even though it has such an iPhone-ish style to it, it was bloody smooth, I loved every aspect of it, and the thing is, I still thought I was using an Android. It has enough Android features to make it be Android.

MIUI
LARGE icons, with backgrounds, to make them all square.
Widgets - its like the iPhone with widgets, can you believe that!
Smoth scrolling, and themeable ROM, The rom itself is theme-able.

In other words, go to en.miui.com (this is the English version of the site), and see if your phone can run MIUI, if it can, GET IT NOW!

MIUI's smooth feel, easy to use UI is definatly the future of Android, not Android 5.0 "Jelly Bean" as many have started to call it.
